What is going to happen here? So many widely differing “truths” and so much media-induced fear.
From our view beyond reality, we see possibilities of a great awakening, of many evolving to an inner-directness that allows them to find the beat of their own drummer. Already many have left former employ to pursue their true interests, many businesses started, creative dreams actualized.
What kind of world do you want to live in? If it has happiness in it, stop all news input now! What were once investigative reporters have become one-sided opinion makers. Use the time to watch inspiring, spiritually uplifting podcasts, take workshops to uplevel your...
It was never my goal to become a Mystic.
I began studying religion in college.
While working in my second church, I realized I could feel no sense of "Spirit" there.
It felt more like a business than a holy place.
For years, I had been very active in the Methodist church, as a local, state-wide and regional officer in youth fellowship. Despite this work in the church, I found myself, at 27 years of age, doubting if God even existed.
Shortly after this time, I began dancing with the Sufis and learning more about their traditions.
Attending their Universal Worship Services, I loved that scriptures were read from eight different spiritual traditions (the Bible, Quran, Zoroastrian, Hinduism, Buddhism, and others). In their Zikrs and Dances of Universal Peace, I had profound experiences of "touching the Divine".
In the 1980's, I sat with Pir Vilayet Khan, head of the Sufi order, and...
I am sharing the words of the respected Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés today, as she is a powerful voice for trauma-recovery, healing, and living a soul-centered life. This article is especially apt for these times.
I will be bringing a series of live channelings with The Council Of Twelve to further comment on how to navigate these troubled times. You can tune-in through my Facebook page or subscribe to my newsletter to be notified about all of my offerings.

Finally, we are coming to honor and appreciate the Crone, the font of wisdom a woman becomes after a life well-lived and lessons well learned. I believe though, we are missing an important stage of life in our usual paradigm, the stage of Matriarch. That gives us four stages: Maiden, Matron, Matriarch, and Crone.
Matriarch is the woman who has raised her children and completed her obligations as an active parent, or one who has devoted her 30s and 40s to establishing her career and who reaches mid-life ready to step into her power. One therapist calls this the “Dangerous Woman” because she is likely to set aside all that stands in the way of her post-menopausal zest for life, and put herself first. She may leave off caretaking others as she carves out a place for what she wants.
Women in their 50s and 60s, even 70s who validate their right to be important, for their needs to matter, and their work to be meaningful may leave the nest they’ve...
You deserve more of yourself! I’m impressed with how much we can transmute in our physical body and life, simply by bringing in our Light Body and living from our multi dimensional self. So simple, though it takes years of devotion to self love, meditation, conscious movement, and shifting our thoughts to arrive at this as our default. When it does, even for some days out of the week, life feels brighter.
A dear friend last summer had the courage to point out how often I would complain, seemingly justifiable complaints, but taking up too much real estate in my head and our precious time together. Really hard to hear! Didn’t fit my picture of myself! Became one of the greatest gifts a friend could give me!
For a while, I had little to say if I couldn’t find something to complain about and could see how it was a bonding technique where I grew up. Then, I realized not letting myself complain gave me more of “now”, more quietness in my mind,...
Come live in your heart. This is a meditation to take up residence in your heart and your core. You’ll be invited to bring your consciousness into each chakra, which are the energy centers in the center of your body. Each chakra connects the subtle bodies to the physical and are found at the crown, third eye, throat, heart, solar plexus, navel, and perineum.
The Meditation: Take a deep breath and allow yourself to center. Then imagine seeing your body like a lighthouse with you at the Light at the top. Imagine taking the spiral stairs down and around the center, the core of your body. As you imagine stepping on each stone step, bring your consciousness down with you which signals to your sub-conscious you are creating a new ground of being.
Move slowly, allowing yourself to make two to 3 spirals around your central core between each chakra. Pause at each chakra until “you” are fully there, as if each is a landing in...
Reading about other’s journeys from mental illness to mental health brought to mind my journey from depression that became chronic and verged on suicidal in the late 70’s, though now I know it was massive repression taught to us descendants of Nebraska homesteaders. What a shock when my marriage failed, for I’d excelled in all the courses about homemaking and was a good wife by farm standards, though I had no emotional life and knew nothing about how to live with an alcoholic who had psychotic breaks.
My hard-working stock would say: just move on, put it behind you and keep going, a fine recipe for repression. I plunged myself into my work of helping open new community residential alternatives for the mentally challenged. As long as I was achieving, I knew I was ok.
I was haunted, however, in my personal life by the shadow of multiple molestations from my toddler days to puberty (totally out of my awareness for another 15 years). My first...
For many of us wounded sexually as children, intimacy and sexuality are a struggle between trying to consistently feel our sexual feelings or give up caring about relationships. Incest and centuries of repressing the feminine and truncating the masculine (in us all) make intimacy difficult for many, often hard work, and sometimes frought with triggers. I feel healing such pervasive effects requires we come to live in our deeper feminine, the true nature that lies beneath the wounds. At our core we must be whole and I want us to find our way back to that wholeness and original innocence.
I love doing therapy with the heroic people who’ve not only survived incest and childhood horrors, but manage to have a life while freeing themselves of being ruled by the past. My guides have joined me in committing to find faster, kinder ways for survivors to heal than reliving memories and being victim to the pain again and again. I studied soul retrieval as...
